About Us

Women's Community Management Group is a state level women's voluntary organization. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act xxx-1860, with IGR Cuttack. Presently the Organization is working in the six districts of Odisha & working for the poor needy women, schedule cast / schedule tribe, child & physically & mentally retarded people. The Organization is situated in the Sankarapur Mouza of Bolagarh Block inside the Khurda district of Odisha which is 72 kms from the state capital Bhubaneswar. It has the own building, office furniture, computers & other office articles.

Now it has 250 numbers of women of it's member. Now the organization is talking, the responsibility of 165 nos. Leprosy cured persons for their Vocational training & fooding the health check up in a permanent basis. In every year the organization is giving Computer training to 60 nos. women, 300 nos. of women are talking the training of Bamboo product & Bamboo house-hold articles & the regular items & 500 nos. of women are talking training on food processing. In addition every year we are also giving short term training on the tailoring, embroidery & printing to 200 nos. of women. We also support for the placement of the trainees & provided the production center for them.

Recently we have started a Child labour school & a General school, Health check up camp. Awareness camp among the rural people for their environment, water & sanitation programmes.

Leprosy Home

We had established LCP Home during 1999 At - Santidana Leprosy Colony, Khurda. Now we have accomendated 50 Nos. of LCP persons with the financial assistance of Ministry of Social Justic & Empowerment Govt. of India.
We are providing them early detection therapeutic service, health checkup along with referral service by part time Doctor. Under the LCP Home free treatment of leprosy ulcers, free supply of prosthetic chappals & other prosthetics equipment to our beneficiaries are proved to the Organization.

Vocational Training

Through the process of rehabilitation activities we are providing vocational training to 115 beneficiaries for leprocy cured patients. In our V.T.C. unit we are providing Vocational Training of Commercial Arts, Cair, Bamboo handicraft the beneficiaries have been benefited by the organization & 148 nos. of baneficiaries have got placement service in different sectors. We have aimed to provide placement service in our productions unit & to start new V.T.C. for the beneficiaries.

Awareness Programme

In our awareness Programmes, Firstly we have brought home the fact that Leprosy can be altogether prevented provided its early signs & symptom are diagnosed. Secondly, we have encouraged the people that Leprosy cured patients can be ably engaged in gainful employments. Thirdly, we have urged people to treat the Leprosy cured patients as normal human beings in the society. In fact, the LCP have the opportunity to bolster their social image with the help of assistance / services rendered by the Govt. & non Govt. organization.

Health Check Up Camp

Regular periodical Health Check up camp is one of our continuing efforts in the remote rural areas in which Doctors & Health workers serve dedicatedly to provide minimum health needs of the people. The health check up camps were conducted at leprosy community of Khurda district, in which a total number of 460 patients were medically checked up. Besides general health condition, special attention was also given to detect leprosy. The detected patients were reffered to various near by hospital for preventive treatment. Basic medicine was also supplied to patients free of cost.
